Mike Molino RV Learning Center Establishes Dan Pearson Legacy Fund

PleasureLand RV Centers to Provide Matching Gifts

(Fairfax, VA) -- The Mike Molino RV Learning Center has established a legacy fund to honor the late Dan Pearson, CEO of PleasureLand RV Centers, headquartered in St. Cloud, MN. The fund honors Pearson’s memory and longtime industry service and was announced during the RV Dealers Convention/Expo in November.

PleasureLand RV Centers has pledged a $25,000 matching gift, which will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for each donation received to the Pearson Legacy Fund until the $25,000 amount is reached.

Pearson served as RV Dealers Association (RVDA) chairman of the board in 1993-94, was a member of the RVDA board of delegates, vice chairman of the RV Learning Center, and served as co-chairman of the Go RVing Coalition. He was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2018. He also received RVDA’s James B. Summers Award in 2001 and the association’s Titan Award in 2023 (posthumously).

Pearson began his career in 1971 at age 11 with PleasureLand RV, which was owned by Dan’s father. Pearson took over the dealership in 1982 with just 20 employees and later became CEO. Today, PleasureLand RV Center is one of the largest RV dealership groups in the Upper Midwest with locations in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Donations to the Mike Molino RV Learning Center support a variety of fixed operations training programs, including parts manager and parts specialist online training designed to teach dealership personnel about parts inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.

The RV Learning Center’s Service Writer/Advisor online course is designed to teach dealership personnel about core principles of the service writing process, including insights on the repair order process and how to effectively communicate with customers.

To gauge the knowledge of new hires and existing personnel, the RV Learning Center is also providing free readiness tests through the RV Fixed Operations Today mobile app.  Once gaps are identified, the online courses are an affordable way to get employees up to speed on the basics.

“Dan had a passion for making quality continuing education programs available to RV dealerships,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia. “This legacy fund will memorialize Dan’s vision to help establish the RV Learning Center and continue its work to help make RV dealership employees top performers in their field.”
