RVDA Convention/Expo Wraps Up a Big Week in Las Vegas

(Fairfax, VA) -- The 2019 RV Dealers Convention/Expo at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas wrapped up on November 15th with its final workshops on compliance issues facing dealers. Convention attendance increased five percent over 2018 with more than 1,700 attendees.

During the U.S. association’s annual meeting, Ron Shepherd of Camperland of Oklahoma was elected 2019-2020 RVDA chairman of the board. The association also presented its Titan Award to Duane Spader of Spader Business Management and its James B. Summers Award to Andy Heck of Alpin Haus. Outgoing chairman Mike Regan of Crestview RV Center also presented Chairman's Service Awards. Dealers recipients were Ron Shepherd, Tim Wegge of Burlington RV Superstore in Sturtevant, WI, and Harold Oehler of Lazydays. Ed Wilkins of Diversified Insurance was the industry recipient of the award.

“The event got off to a great start with the Vendor Training Plus+ supplier-led workshops that flowed into an energetic keynote presentation by innovation expert Josh Linkner, which rolled into the management education workshops developed by the RV Learning Center,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia. “In the Expo, many vendors have picked up on the Repair Event Cycle Time issue and demonstrated solutions that can help get consumers back on the road more quickly when they need service.”

In addition to thirty-one exhibitor-led Vendor Training +Plus workshops, the event featured six educational tracks covering key aspects of dealer operations, including F&I, eMarketing, business development, fixed operations, sales, rental, and general management issues.

The 2020 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will be held the week of November 9-13 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
