Forest River dominated the North American travel trailer retail market during 2024 because its dealers sold 70,102 units to U.S. and Canadian households, according to market research firm Statistical Surveys Inc. Two THOR Industries subsidiaries – Keystone and Jayco -- were second and third, respectively, in 2024. Dealers representing the two THOR subsidiaries retailed a total of 60,545 travel trailers, about 9,600 units shy of Forest River’s total.  Meanwhile, Winnebago subsidiary Grand Design placed fourth with its dealers retailing 17,466 units. Forest River’s Coachmen subsidiary was fifth at 12,829 units sold to retail buyers. Forest River’s total does not include units built by its East to West, Palomino, Prime Time or Shasta subsidiaries.

THOR’s Keystone division maintained its leadership position in the fifth wheel retail market because its dealers sold 12,713 units to U.S. and Canadian households in 2024, according to Statistical Surveys. Forest River was No. 2 at 12,092 units, Winnebago’s Grand Design was No. 3 at 9,952 units, THOR’s Jayco was No. 4 at 5,677 units and independent builder Brinkley was No. 5 at 4,311 units.



Forest River dominated the North American folding camper retail market in 2024 due to its dealers selling 2,514 units to U.S and Canadian households. Meanwhile, Aliner was No. 2 with 878 units retailed, enough to edge-out Forest River subsidiary Coachmen whose dealers sold 765 units to retail buyers. No. 4 was Purple Line at 251 units and Sylvan Sport was No. 5 at 168 units.


Class A motorhomes built by THOR Motor Coach were the most popular in the North American retail market with 1,864 units sold in 2024. Winnebago’s Newmar was No. 2 at 1,232 units and Forest River was No. 3 at 982 units. Rounding out the Top 5 were THOR’s Tiffin subsidiary at 973 units and Jayco's Entegra at 893 units.

Winnebago’s Class B motorhomes were the most popular during 2024 because 2,652 units were sold to retail buyers. No. 2 in Class B’s was THOR Motor Coach at 2,257 units, and Jayco’s Entegra division was No. 3 at 756 units. Forest River’s Coachmen division was No. 4 at 732 units and No. 5 was Canada’s Pleasure-Way at 620 units.

THOR Motor Coach dominated the Class C motorhome retail market in 2024 because its U.S. and Canadian dealers sold 5,430 units, about two and a half times as many as No. 2 Winnebago’s 2,265 units. Forest River was No. 3 at 2,114 units and Jayco’s Entegra division was No. 4 at 2,112 units. Rounding out the Top 5 was the Jayco, a THOR Industries division, at 1,986 units.
