 Mike started his insurance career at Commonwealth Life Insurance Company.  In 1991, he began working at Reed Brothers Insurance, a small main street agency in his hometown. In 1996, he became a partner and opened a second main street shop in a neighboring town. Mike started a niche marketing business selling commercial insurance to dealers in RV, used auto, powersports, and manufactured housing. That same year, Mike sold his niche marketing book of business to Brown & Brown Insurance and joined them as the profit center leader of Brown & Brown of KY. Today, he leads all of Brown & Brown of KY, including the Louisville retail office, in addition to Brown & Brown’s Dealer Services division, which has offices in Minneapolis, Boston, Scottsdale, Dallas, and Clearwater, FL. He has served on several boards and organizations such as Kentucky Manufactured Housing Council, Adair County Economic Development Group, Columbia City Council, and The Ritchie Foundation.
