 Tom Finwall was born into the world of commercial insurance with his father owning and operating a successful commercial property & casualty agency in Central Florida for over 33 years before selling to Brown & Brown in 2001.  Tom is a graduate of the University of Florida (2002), and after graduating proceeded to achieve licenses and working experience in the NASD (Series 7) field, real estate, mortgage lending, life health & variable annuity and property & casualty insurance.  The later became is sole focus and he spend the last 16 years dedicated to the technical aspects of products, coverages & claims management processes in all 51 jurisdictions.  He has nine years working on the carrier side, and the last six on the agency retail side specializing on large, complex, hard to place accounts. His claims management programs, which directly influence experience mods and/or rates prove tangible and trackable results for his clients.  He has particularly advanced knowledge on loss sensitive programs, identifying coverage gaps in garage liability, and structuring cyber liability programs that suit the dealer’s specific needs. He proudly and exclusively hangs his hat with Brown & Brown’s Division of Dealer Services as a property & casualty RV & auto dealership risk specialist where he is dedicated to creatively customizing commercial insurance programs for his clients and providing educational industry training.
