Developed in partnership with The Ohio State University's Center for Education and Training for Employment, these online courses help RV service and parts personnel increase efficiency and reduce Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT). The Service Writer/Advisor Online course, Parts Specialist Online course, and Parts Manager online course offer instruction on:

The RV Learning Center’s online courses for service management and parts professionals help new hires get the principle-based professional foundation they need to be successful. Fully interactive and easy to navigate, the online courses offer audio voice-over instruction and progress checks for participants as they study at their own pace. Even those with more experience benefit from being reminded of core principles needed to create loyal customers. Each course concludes with a timed, comprehensive final assessment to test the knowledge and skills learned in the course.

Courses are priced at $150 per student, per course. These courses are an ideal way to prepare for certification through the RV Learning Center, which is available for an additional fee. Click HERE for more information on becoming certified.
NOTE: NTP-STAG Canada supports a bursary program for Canadian dealership fixed operations personnel. Apply here. Please email Anita Lien, RVDA of Canada, anital@rvda.ca, if you have any questions about the bursary. Bursary applications must be received by June 1, 2025.

This course will help new service writers/advisors get the principle-based professional foundation they need to be successful. While those with more experience will benefit from being reminded of core principles needed to create confident and loyal customers. Nine modules covering 43 key competency areas will prepare your front-line people with the knowledge required to meet and exceed customer and dealership expectations on a day-to-day basis. Course materials are structured around the comprehensive RV service writer/advisor job and task analysis developed by The Ohio State University’s Center on Education and Training for Employment, in conjunction with RV industry subject matter experts organized by the RV Learning Center.  Details and course outline can be downloaded here.

Fully interactive and easy to navigate, it offers audio voice-over and numerous progress checks.  Multiple sections on customer service reinforce and drive-home one of the top skill sets required of top performing fixed operations personnel. The course concludes with a timed, comprehensive final assessment to test your knowledge and skills learned in the course. To become a certified Service Writer/Advisor, there is a separate exam and fee. The course takes about 5 hours to complete. Certified service writers/advisors and parts specialists will earn 5 continuing credit hours toward recertification. Those that enroll between December 1, 2024 and November 30, 2025, will have until December 31, 2025, to complete the course.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS / TRANSFERS / EXTENSIONS: This course is non-transferable. Refunds are only provided if the registrant submits a request in writing within 14 days of registration and proof of no access to the Learning Management System (LMS) has been confirmed. A $50 administrative fee will be applied. Course extensions are not available. Policies and fees are subject to change without notice.
