Long Time RVDA Member John Howard Sr. Passes Away

RVDA regrets to inform the membership that John Howard Sr., founder of Howard RV Center, passed away on January 3rd.

John and Ann Howard started their business in 1971, with three folding campers on a corner lot in Rochester, NY. They named the new company CAMPCO and operated through many cold New York winters. In 1979 they decided to relocated the business south, to Ann's hometown of Wilmington, NC. The business grew from there and was passed to their children, Robin Howard Grover and John Howard Jr., in 1996.

Howard is survived by his children, Kathy Kittleson, Robin Grover and her husband David, and John F. Howard, Jr. and his spouse Chris Tucker; his grandchildren, Dean K. Kittleson and Lacy Anne Grover Horner; and his great-grandchild, Aubrey Ann Horner.
