RV Business Magazine Rolling Out Top 50 Dealer Award in Conjunction with RV Dealers International Convention/Expo
Fifty of North America’s RV dealers will be recognized on stage again this year for their general professionalism, marketing savvy, charitable natures and, above all, their commitment to consumer care at a gala 7th Annual RV Business Top 50 Dealer Awards reception Nov. 8 at Bally’s on the Las Vegas Strip.
The reception takes place in conjunction with the 2017 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo, co-hosted Nov. 6-10 by RVDA and RVDA of Canada.
“The annual Top 50 Dealer Awards should provide a timely springboard for the conversation currently taking place among the industry’s dealers, suppliers, distributors and manufacturers about improving the ‘customer experience,’” said Sherman Goldenberg, publisher of RV Business magazine, which is again collaborating with BJ Thompson Associates (BJTA) on the annual awards.
This year’s awards process is well underway, according to Elkhart, Ind.-based PR executive BJ Thompson, with RV builders’ top dealers already receiving applications as part of a 2017 program sponsored by Ally Financial Inc., Cummins Power Generation, Airxcel’s Dicor Corp., Dometic Corp., Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., Lippert Components Inc., NTP-STAG, Protective Asset Protection, Truma and Wells Fargo CDF.
Completed applications are due back in BJTA’s hands by Aug. 15.
“As we shift the RV Business Top 50 RV Dealer Awards into drive for the seventh year,” said Thompson, “I reflect back on the progress of the program and am pleased that the industry has recognized its credibility and sincere efforts to raise the bar in terms of dealer professionalism. Many dealers appreciate the benefits of a Top 50 designation and have made an exceptional effort to provide persuasive background in their applications for our judges – our panel of experts — who will make their final selections during a September meeting at Elkhart’s RV/MH Hall of Fame.
Again this year, the Top 50 roster will include five exemplary “Blue Ribbon” dealerships plus two special distinctions — a “Gaylord Maxwell Innovation Award” sponsored by Lippert Components Inc. recognizing creative business strategies plus an “Arthur J. Decio Humanitarian Award” sponsored by Ally Financial Inc. that goes to a dealer who has excelled at charitable endeavors.
For marketing purposes, the RVB Top 50 Award honorees will be publicized in dealers’ regional media. In-store Top 50 signage is provided, and dealers are welcome to use Top 50 logos in their show displays, websites and general advertising.
In addition to coverage in RV Business and on RVBUSINESS.com, all Top 50 dealers will also be included in national consumer ads in magazines like Family Motor Coaching and Escapees. And the 2017 Top 50 roster will also be posted in an array of e-newsletters from Southeast Publications’ MobileRVing to Mark and Dawn Polk’s RV Education 101 to maximize consumer exposure.
