Members Urged to Rate Manufacturers for Dealer Satisfaction
RVDA members are encouraged to participate in
the 20th Annual Dealer Satisfaction Survey of
manufacturers’ performance in eight key areas. Survey results
provide the basis for the annual Quality Circle Awards RVDA presents to

Convention/Expo

Scott Krenek Elected to Chair RV Rental Association
The RVDA Board of Directors elected Scott
Krenek, owner of Krenek RV Center of Coloma, MI, to chair the RV Rental
Association (RVRA). He will serve out the unexpired term of outgoing
RVRA Chairman Bert Alanko of MBA Insurance and serve an additional year
as the rental association’s representative on the RVDA Board of

RVDA Questions CFPB Guidance on Dealer-Assisted Finance
In a bulletin released March 21, the CFPB addresses fair
lending practices under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. The
Agency's guidance seems to be an attempt to force vehicle lending
sources into changing the way they compensate dealers. RVDA and other motor vehicle dealer groups, including the National
Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and the National Association of
Minority Automobile Dealers (NAMAD), are questioning new guidance to
lenders from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). For

Go RVing Leads-Plus Program Improved for 2013: Sign Up TODAY
 The popular
Go RVing Leads-Plus program is back for 2013, but with a twist.
This year, participating dealers will be notified via email as soon as
new leads enter the system. Once notified, dealers can log into
GoRVing.com and retrieve their leads. The notification system will begin
in late February, as the 2013 media plans kicks off. Click for details

RVLC Scholarship Application Online Now for 2013-14
Term
Deserving college undergraduates majoring in business, finance,
economics, accounting or other RV industry-related subjects are eligible
to apply for the $2,500 award. Posters promoting the program to

Congressman Says CFPB Plan on
Vehicles Loans Is a Lemon
In a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed, Rep.
John Campbell (R-CA) calls new guidance issued by Consumer Financial
Protection Bureau (CFPB) "a noxious attempt to solve a problem that
doesn't exist and is likely to make a mess of one part of the
consumer-loan industry that works." RVDA and other motor vehicle
dealer groups, including the National Automobile Dealers Association
(NADA) also question the CFPB’s actions. Campbell
is chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Monetary
