10  Meet 2020 RVDA Chairman Ron Shepherd
Oklahoma dealer Ron Shepherd says the RV industry has made headway with improving RECT (repair event cycle time), and he intends to keep the momentum going in the coming year. He also will work to increase retailer involvement with RVDA, including an initiative to boost convention attendance.

The latest quarterly market survey shows dealer optimism on the upswing as retailers get their inventories in shape. Survey respondents are generally expecting a good 2020.

22  Andy Heck is RVDA’s 2019 J.B. Summers Honoree  
The former RVDA chairman from Alpin Haus in Amsterdam, NY, received RVDA’s highest honor for, among other things, helping lead the association through tough economic times following the recession.
22-23  Shields, Wilkins, Oehler, Shepherd, and Wegge Are Recognized for Their Service to RVDA
Sherry Shields, the outgoing secretary of the board of directors, was given a special plaque in thanks for her service as a board director and officer. Receiving Chairman’s Service Awards this year were Ed Wilkins of Diversified Insurance Management, Lazydays general counsel Harold Oehler, 2020 RVDA Chairman Ron Shepherd, and past chairman Tim Wegge.
27  Six Fixed-Ops Employees are Recognized by the Society of Certified RV Professionals
The individuals--one of whom has maintained his status as a master technician for 35 years--were awarded convention scholarships and other gifts during RVDA's 2019 convention.
