RV Dealers International Convention to Provide Retail
and Wholesale Financing Options to Dealers
Responding to the critical need to improve financing options for RV
dealers and their customers, the RV Learning Center is assembling a
series of workshops focusing on retail and wholesale/floor plan
financing issues for the 2009 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo,
schedule for October 6-9 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las
Vegas.
Here are some of the workshops scheduled:
SBA Dealer Floor Plan Financing
Ed Brown, Small Business Administration &
Panel
Earlier this year the Small Business Administration announced that it is
launching a Dealer Floor Plan Pilot program that will expand its Section
7(a) loan guarantee program to cover revolving lines of credit to cover
floor plan expenses. The loans will be made through SBA lenders to
creditworthy dealerships meeting lender requirements, demonstrating
sound finances, and following viable business plans. Dealers attending
this workshop will learn how the Dealer Floor Plan pilot program can
help their dealership.
Courting Commercial Lenders
Stephen King, Moss Adams, LLP
Bill Thompson, Cardinal Points Network, LLC
During this workshop, dealers will learn how to communicate with
commercial bankers and build a comprehensive and effective floor plan
loan request package. Speakers will also outline how dealers can
use the ABC’s of business partners to achieve their floor plan
lending goals.
The Changing Face of Retail Financing
John Fulmer, Leisure Consulting & Panel
John Fulmer, formerly of Bank of America, will lead a panel of top
lenders who will discuss how changes in the retail financing environment
impact dealers and their customers, and provide strategies for success
in the new consumer lending environment.
Retail Lending for the Credit Challenged
John Haymond, Medallion Bank
The recession is taking its toll on the consumer. People from all walks
of life are experiencing difficult times causing negative credit
reporting and lower credit scores. Lenders are tightening their credit
standards and dealership sales volume and gross profits are suffering.
Dealers will leave this workshop with an understanding of the true value
of credit-challenged customers.
This is just a small sample of the workshops that are planned for the
RV Dealers International Convention/Expo. Register
now to take full advantage of all the workshops at this
event.
